July 2007 - Jiffy Clip Incorporated has achieved another milestone with the issuance of U.S. Patent Number 7,241,071, for the Swivel TiClip. The Swivel TiClip is a swiveling multi-clamp fastener that represents the kind of innovative thinking that Jiffy Clip is known for.

The patent for the Swivel TiClip, issued July 10, 2007, is about rebar fasteners used to secure two rebars at their junction in any relative orientation before concrete is poured therearound to make a slab or footing. Swivel TiClips are quick and easy to use, do not require the use of any tools whatsoever (thus avoiding the repeated use of pliers to twist a wire tie around the rebar junction), and can be used for many other purposes other than just connecting rebar.

A key unique feature of Jiffy Clip, Inc.'s patented fastener is the slide-lock structure that allows two same or different size clamps to be assembled, locked and pivotally rotated 360 degrees relative to one another before or after snap-fitting the multi-clamp fastener around the rebar junction.
