The Jiffy Clip Inc. new Post-Tension TiChair for the post-tension concrete industry, the result of a collaboration between Jiffy Clip Inc. and post-tension cable manufactures, can be seen during the World of Concrete January 23-26 in booth N3013 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The installers of post-tension also worked with Jiffy Clip to ensure that the Post-Tension TiChair would meet stringent requirements around ease of installation, stability during layout, and stability during the placement of concrete. As a member of the Post-Tension Institute, Jiffy Clip has also ensured that its Post-Tension TiChair has met and exceeded industry standards.

The Post-Tension TiChair, now available in an expanded range of sizes, has a flat base for firm footing on a prepared surface. The single shaft provides for an easy flow of concrete that eliminates voids. The head of the Post-Tension TiChair is a patented plastic clip that easily attaches to the intersecting post-tension cables, grasping them firmly, and securing them in their proper position.

The successful use of the Jiffy Clip Post-Tension TiChair in the construction of new home foundations has opened the opportunity for the industry to make a change to a more efficient and reliable method for the installation of post-tension for slab on grade construction. The result of these efforts is a chair that eliminates a step in the post-tension slab installation process.
